Success breeds success, pop breeds pop, different songs with the same name. Such or
thereabout are the circumstances surrounding Dannii Minogue's, uh, hit single I Begin To
Wonder - it's a comparatively classy bubble-dance tune, but some people will have begun
to wonder: How come that Miss Minogue simply snatched a hit single from the last half year
at the time, put her name on the cover (and even into the credits, apparently for changing a
few words), and expected nobody to notice? The single referred to is obviously the song's
version by one-hit-wonder outfit JCA, circulating around summer 2002. And people who know
that song are quite likely not to believe what's happened to them lately, since Dannii's
early 2003 version sounds virtually identical. So there you go: It's the song as a
readymade franchise-based commodity, ready to be licensed to anyone who's willing to
speculate on its hit qualities. Who knows who else will have a single out with their vocals
over that wondrous backing track by the end of 2003?

When I'm walking down the street I call your name,
inside my head I go insane,
don't you know that it's really making me crazy;
There were days when I went completely blind,
no time to think and I lost time,
won't believe what's happened to me lately;
'Cause every day is the same day,
different faces with no name,
places I've never been before;
And every day is the same thing,
different faces with no name,
places I've never been before
